The Officers and members of the Riverdale Heights Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad are pleased to announce, that the re-possession of the Heavy Rescue Squad and Fire Engines has been averted.
Through the generous donations of the community at large, area merchants, fellow Volunteer organizations and a generous benefactor that wishes to remain anonymous, we have collected enough funds to bring the bank loan back in good standing.
We would like the public to know, that while we have met this challenge in the Twelfth Hour, their continued support is still needed.
The Volunteer Fire Service in Prince George’s County is still the primary source of Fire Protection and Emergency Medical Care for the residents of the County. The spirit of Volunteer Service is alive in the hearts and souls of the County Volunteer Firefighters and Emergency Medical Technicians, but NEW Volunteers are always needed and encouraged to take advantage of the FREE Educational Opportunities available through Volunteer service.
